Living In The Country

Caine is 5 years old and he has been showing pigs since he learned to walk. So far we have been pretty successful. Caine loves showing so we continue to do it. He takes is VERY seriously.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the snow this week. Caine and Joseph enjoyed a snowball fight. It was a huge battle to get Caine back inside from playing. It was so beautiful... so sad to see it melt!

Vivian Leigh Garrison

August 8, 1957- July 23, 2008

I was raised by a wonderful, strong, and loving mother. I never knew what an inspiration she was to my life until I lost her on July 23, 2008. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of her. I miss her everyday. I know people say "time heals all things" but I do not think I will ever "heal" from this loss. I miss her smile, her hugs, and just being with her. I know that I have gained a wonderful guardian angel for not only myself, but also my family. No one will ever replace me mother!

Our Family

I am a truly blessed woman. I have a wonderful and supportive family. The demands of nursing school are very stressful but I am making. The Lord will not give me more than I can bear.

On a personal note, I have a healthy and handsome little boy, Levi Caine. He is five years old and he is my little handful. I am married to a wonderful man, Joseph. Our marriage has been full of ups and downs but we are making it. He has become very helpful. He is picking up my slack by washing clothes, loading the dishwasher, and keeping Caine in line.

As a family, we spend a lot of time doing "boy stuff". The boys love baseball, basketball, and living in the country. This brings me to our next activity... raising and showing pigs. Joseph and Caine are very active with our local FFA and 4-H club. Caine has won multiple belt buckles and ribbons. My family means business and in the end it makes me one proud mom!

As you can tell I am very out numbered 2:1. Hence the name of my blog... Boys, Boots, & Belt Buckles
